Kauai, Hawaii Project
Tesla
During my time at TDK I had the pleasure of working with Tesla’s Engineers to help develop a highly efficient and reliable energy storage system known as a PowerPack. 273 PowerPacks where installed in Kauai, Hawaii in order to store 13 MegaWatts of power. This massive amount of power saves 1.6 million gallons of fossil fuel per year and makes Kuai incredibly energy efficient. My role and contribution to this project was helping to manage the design and delivery of a critical electronic components known as Film Capacitors that were installed into the PCBs of the PowerPack allowing the inverters to convert energy from DC to AC Power.
